I employ Roy Keane in this position, someone with incredible Marking and Tackling. I suggest changing this to Man Marking if your opponent has an Attacking Midfielder or Forward in the hole. The Defensive Midfielder has the Zonal Marking option applied. You can see me enforcing this a few times during my Man Utd save. If the opposing team has wingers pushing on, consider placing your Full-backs on Mark Marking too. The Center-backs occupy a Man Marking role but adjust this depending on the opposition’s front line. While the tactic incorporates a back four, I’ve reduced the forward arrow on the Full-backs to prevent being left short at the back in case of a Counter-Attack. The Pressing and Offside Trap are on, while the Counter Attack and Men Behind the Ball are off. If you make a substitution, remember to revert any player changes! If a player receives too many yellow or red cards, adjust the tackling to Normal or Easy – this will reduce the chances of them picking up further bookings but will ultimately result in players being insufficiently tackled. As with the other tactics I’ve shared, they have individual player instructions. This tactic has an Attacking mentality, with Direct Passing and Hard Tackling. It’s also a no wibwob ( NWW) tactic to prevent manipulating the match engine. I want to take this opportunity to remind you this tactic is for Championship Manager 01-02 and the patch 3.9.68 database. Today’s tactic is regarding my Attacking 4-1-3-2 (NWW), which I’ve been using against weaker teams, or during matches where I need to make up a one-goal deficit.
